ABA says it is generally against antitrust exemptions

( March 14, 2018, 16:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The American Bar Association issued prepared remarks at the US Department of Justice’s roundtable on the role and relevance of exemptions and immunities in US antitrust law. ABA said that it generally opposes such exemptions unless they are justified on narrow grounds. “The consensus view now holds that consumers benefit most when competitors freely compete, and that economic regulation is better suited to preserving a competitive marketplace than to structuring the market around deliberately anticompetitive cartels,” it said.See document below....
