Thompson, charged by federal prosecutors with engineering one of the largest data breaches of a US financial institution in history in the 2019 breach of Capital One Financial Corp., entered a "not guilty" plea today in a federal court in advance of a trial scheduled this fall in Seattle. Thompson, a former Amazon Web Services engineer, faces 10 criminal counts that federal prosecutors say could result in more than 20 years in prison.Paige A.
