JFTC releases report on abuse of dominance in television industry

( July 29, 2015, 07:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- The Japan Fair Trade Commission, or JFTC, today released findings of a survey of television program producers about abuse of dominance by major broadcasters. According to the report, 43 program providers, or 39.4 percent of the respondents, told the JFTC that they had received treatment that could be interpreted as abuse of dominance. For example, 22 program providers said they had to provide services at prices at which they couldn’t make enough profits.The full report and a summary and a presentation of the report are attached....
