Updated German climate law approved by parliament

( June 24, 2021, 18:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: German businesses will face a climate-neutrality goal for 2045 and an emissions-reduction target of 65 percent for 2030 compared to 1990 levels, after the parliament backed changes to the country’s climate law. The approved bill also includes a new interim target of 88 percent reduction for 2040 and contains provisions detailing pollution cuts for every sector.
