Thales defends duration of Frand license set by Delaware judge; Koninklijke Philips says term too short

( July 8, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- In a joint letter, Koninklijke Philips told Delaware federal Judge Colm F. Connolly it's entitled to a longer lookback period at an upcoming trial on Thales USA's unlicensed use of various Philips standard essential patents, or SEPs.  According to Philips, the judge wrongly declared the relevant license to last from 2016 to 2028 because a Thales' predecessor was infringing as early as 2009.  Thales countered in the same letter that Philips unduly delayed its pursuit of fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory license terms until market conditions for its technology were optimal.See document below....
