Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline notify CADE of vaccine deal

( July 28, 2015, 18:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of American multinational pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer, has notified the Brazilian competition authority of plans to acquire the vaccine business of GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals. The antitrust agency was notified of the deal under the fast-track process. The deal is part of a condition imposed on GlaxoSmithKline by the European Commission in order to clear the company’s acquisition of Novartis’ vaccine business and the creation of a new entity combining the consumer health activities of GSK and Novartis.OJ statement follows in full....
