ITC says some Nepalese luggage, travel good and apparel imports not import sensitive

( October 24, 2016, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Some 66 types of Nepalese luggage, travel goods and certain apparel items are not regarded as import sensitive by industry sources, the US International Trade Commission said in a public report about the eligibility of relevant Nepalese imports for trade preferences released Monday. Under the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015, President Barack Obama must seek the advice of the ITC about the import sensitivity of goods from a country, such as Nepal, before establishing a trade preference program for that country. The 66 items are potentially eligible for the preferences, the report said.See document below....
