Korea Fair Trade Commission fines Kia Motors for unfair trade practice

( July 28, 2015, 08:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Korea Fair Trade Commission on Tuesday issued a correction order and fined Kia Motors Co., an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Co., 500 million won ($427,200) for an intrusive, restrictive and unfair trade practice designed to favor corporate-run dealerships. The car manufacturer limited the number of car sales personnel at contracted dealerships by refusing to provide sales identification numbers for new employees.
