Ingevity not immune to BASF's US antitrust claims, judge rules

( April 11, 2023, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Counter to Ingevity's contentions, BASF did not waive its demand for a US jury trial such that the jury's findings as to "any factual issues relevant to the immunity defenses" were merely "advisory," a federal judge ruled. BASF won a $28.3 million jury verdict in Sep. 2021 against Ingevity in its case accusing the company of engaging in exclusive dealing arrangements to keep BASF’s automotive carbon absorber product from effectively competing.
