Federal judge in Utah orders more briefing following US Supreme Court social media decision

( July 10, 2024, 22:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A federal judge in Utah has ordered NetChoice to submit supplemental briefing on its challenge to the constitutionality of Utah's social media regulation law, following a US Supreme Court decision that said First Amendment challenges to social media laws passed by Florida and Texas must be remanded to lower courts. US District Judge Robert J. Shelby ordered NetChoice to discuss the effect the "Moody" decision would have on the facial challenges to the constitutionality of NetChoice's complaint, and offered the Utah attorney general's office a chance to also submit its view.See attached document....
