​​Property Brokers' bid for Farmland's West Coast business in New Zealand faces merger clearance

( November 25, 2019, 03:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New Zealand real estate and property management company Property Brokers has sought clearance from New Zealand's competition regulator to acquire the West Coast real estate business and property management business of Farmlands Real Estate. New Zealand's Commerce Commission said in a statement today that it received an application for clearance from Property Brokers, which provides real estate services from offices throughout New Zealand. Both Property Brokers and Farmlands — a fully-owned subsidiary of Farmlands Co-operative Society — provide residential, lifestyle, rural and commercial real estate and property management services. The two companies' businesses overlap on the West Coast of New Zealand in Westport and Hokitika.
