Latitude Financial says it won't pay ransom for Australia, New Zealand data breaches

( April 11, 2023, 00:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australian-based digital-payments company Latitude Financial says it won’t pay the ransom being demanded by the cybercriminals that stole approximately 7.9 million Australian and New Zealand driver-license numbers in a recent attack. In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange today, Latitude said the company didn’t believe that paying the ransom would result in the return or destruction of the information that was stolen.
