Australia, China's ongoing barley-trade dispute inches towards resolution

( April 11, 2023, 23:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australia and China's ongoing trade dispute over Chinese duties placed on barely imports since 2020 has inched towards resolution, after a recent agreement by China to conduct an expedited review of the duties over a three-month period. In a joint statement, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong, Minister for Trade Don Farrell and Minister for Agriculture Murray Watt said Australia had agreed to temporarily suspend for the review period an ongoing World Trade Organization dispute process it had pursued over the tariffs.
