Broadcasters have no right to a share of hotel revenues for TV sets, says EU court opinion

Today’s recommendation from Advocate General Maciej Szpunar says it’s wrong to apply an EU law covering rental payments for cinema-like broadcast screenings to hotel rooms, because people don’t reserve rooms primarily to watch television....
