Final cement cartel hearing deferred following Indian high court ruling

By Freny Patel ( October 4, 2022, 09:22 GMT | Insight) -- The final two-day hearing in India's alleged cement cartel case scheduled for Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 was deferred after the Delhi High Court allowed the Builders Association of India to approach the antitrust watchdog with a request to be included as an interested party, MLex has learned. The Competition Commission of India had denied the initial request, forcing the association to approach the court. The CCI has the discretion to add parties to an ongoing matter because it would be required to share confidential information.
