Car insurance consent decree should stay, senators tell DOJ

( November 19, 2019, 19:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A 1963 consent decree that prevents car insurers from price-fixing auto claims should be continued, Senators John Kennedy and Richard Blumenthal said in a letter to the US Department of Justice. The DOJ has proposed eliminating the decree, which applies to three insurance trade groups — American Mutual Insurance Alliance, National Association of Mutual Casualty Companies and Association of Casualty and Surety Companies, which is now the American Property Casualty Insurance Association.See letter below....
