US Judiciary upgrades cybersecurity to protect against PACER/ECF vulnerabilities

( January 6, 2021, 21:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Amid concerns about recent data breaches of government agencies, the administrative US federal court system has taken steps to address cybersecurity vulnerabilities in the Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) systems that upload and manage the records of federal courts, with the exception of the US Supreme Court. Designated "highly sensitive court documents" filed with federal courts will now be accepted for filing in paper form or via a secure electronic device, such as a thumb drive, and stored in a secure stand-alone computer system, but won't be uploaded to PACER.Statement of US Judiciary follows in full:...
