( July 2, 2024, 18:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Pennsylvania House passed the Pennsylvania Open Markets Act by a 112-89 vote, according to voting results posted on the Pennsylvania General Assembly's website. Pennsylvania is the only state without a state antitrust law. The Open Markets Act would create a state antitrust statute and a health care merger notification standard. Short Title: An Act amending Title 12 (Commerce and Trade) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for cause of action for antitrust conduct, for indirect purchaser recovery under State antitrust laws and for premerger notice of health care mergers and transactions; and imposing penalties....
