Siemens works 'closely' with Greece after former execs' bribery convictions

( November 19, 2019, 15:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: German conglomerate Siemens has said it is continuing to work closely with the Greek authorities following the convictions of former executives today in an Athens court over a long-running bribery scandal. Local media reported that 22 out of an original 64 defendants — including former Siemens executives — were found guilty of various corruption-linked offenses. The company paid 270 million euros in 2012 to settle allegations that it had paid 70 million euros to clinch a telecoms contract with OTE.Statement follows....
