Bencis must give further details of Meneba antitrust claim

( June 17, 2021, 16:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Investment firm Bencis must submit further documents to support its antitrust claim against former unit Meneba. The Rotterdam District court has found that although both had been fined for their role in a flour cartel, and Bencis was held liable as an indirect parent of Meneba, the Dutch watchdog fined them in separate decisions and didn't held them jointly and severally liable, therefore it couldn't seek internal redress. But judges said that if Meneba lied about its competition law breach when Bencis asked before it acquired shares in the company, this could lead to a claim for compensation.See the full text of the ruling attached in Dutch....
