FCC commissioners consider plan to approve AT&T-DirecTV with conditions, Wheeler says

( July 21, 2015, 22:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Under a proposed order circulating among Federal Communications Commission members, the planned AT&T-DirecTV merger would be approved with conditions, according to a statement Tuesday by agency Chairman Tom Wheeler. Among the conditions are AT&T giving customers at 12.5 million locations access to high-speed fiber connections; including its affiliated video services in data-limited plans; and submitting to the FCC "interconnection" agreements for transferring data to AT&T's broadband network. A monitor would oversee AT&T's compliance with the conditions, Wheeler said.Statement follows in full....
