Regione del Veneto faces Italian GDPR fine

( March 4, 2023, 17:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italian local government Regione del Veneto has been fined 100,000 euros by the national data protection authority for violating the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. Following complaints from medical and nursing staff, the watchdog found that the region had sent a list of data sets of unvaccinated staff to local healthcare providers and doctors responsible for coronavirus-related safety measures in their facilities, the regulator said.
