The rules aim to reduce the energy consumption and facilitate the repair of a wide variety of fan types, covering industrial processes as well as heating, cooling and ventilation equipment in tertiary or residential buildings. Following the new changes, “the overall EU electricity consumption of industrial fans is expected to be roughly 31 TWh a year lower, by 2030, than a situation without any requirements,” the commission's statement said.Statement follows.
