China's TC260 seeks public comment on requirements for crowdsourced security test services

( September 28, 2022, 08:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: TC260, China’s national standard-setting body on information security, has issued a set of draft national standards that specify requirements on players — demand-side, provider, authorized test entity and auditing entity — that are involved in crowdsourced security test services to fend off security risks. The security risks include breaches of sensitive information, threats to normal operation of systems under attack by imitated hackers and risks originating from the illegal operation by authorized test entities. Crowdsourced security test services refers to customers receiving software testing for vulnerabilities that is completed by a group of preselected professional software testers.
