Irish privacy watchdog's GDPR enforcement seen as 'bottleneck' by EU Parliament members

( September 23, 2022, 11:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: European Parliament members in the civil liberties committee said that they are "concerned" that the Irish Data Protection Commission is a "bottleneck" of the GDPR's one-stop shop mechanism. The lawmakers were in Ireland this week to meet with Irish DPC officials and US technology companies that are based in Ireland, including Meta, Microsoft and TikTok. They said an independent review of the DPC’s procedures and actions "would be helpful."Statement follows....
