Yahoo files amicus in support of reversing Federal Circuit decision in Biosig, Nautilus patent-infringement case

( March 1, 2014, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Yahoo has filed an amicus brief in support of reversing a Federal Circuit decision determining Biosig’s patents are not indefinite in its patent case against Nautilus. Yahoo says that the Federal Circuit’s construction of “definiteness” goes against statute and the purpose of providing notice on the boundaries of an invention. Yahoo also says that while the Federal Circuit’s standard is too lenient, the proposed standard of not tolerating any ambiguity defeats the purpose of construing claims, which courts should in such a situation under US Supreme Court precedent. See document below. ...
