Hatch supports Trump move to extend fast track trade authority

( February 28, 2018, 22:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Senator Orrin Hatch, one of the architects of the 2015 Trade Promotion Authority that provided so-called "fast track" negotiating authority to the president on trade deals, praised an announcement by the White House that it would seek to extend that authority. The senator did not endorse the administration's trade agenda, but Hatch said the law gives Congress better oversight of the trade policies an administration pursues.
