US tariffs on China must expand and continue, manufacturing coalition says

"Our members are making major investments, expanding operations, and hiring workers—particularly in strategically important industries like steel. If the tariffs are reduced, all of that new investment will be wasted," Coalition for a Prosperous America chair Dan DiMicco said in a statement, responding to calls for the administration to rollback the duties as part of a potential partial trade deal with China.
