Meta found guilty in Brazil of 2021 data breaches

In a decision by a state court in Maranhão, Meta's Facebook was ordered to pay compensation for collective "moral" damages of 72 million reais ($13.93 million), as well as to pay 500 reais ($96.74) to each Brazilian affected by the infraction.
