Martin Marietta receives second request on Texas Industries bid

( April 23, 2014, 21:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Martin Marietta Materials, a producer of crushed stone, sand and gravel used in construction, said it received a Department of Justice request for additional information regarding its proposed $2.7 billion merger with fellow NYSE-listed cement and construction-materials supplier Texas Industries.
