Netflix's logic for opposing Comcast-Time Warner Cable deal flawed, Comcast says

( April 21, 2014, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Netflix's opposition to Comcast's planned acquisition of Time Warner Cable "is based on inaccurate claims and arguments," Comcast spokeswoman Jennifer Khoury said in a blog posting Monday in response to Netflix telling company shareholders it wanted the deal stopped. Despite Netflix's assertions, Comcast is devoted to equal Internet access for content providers, she said. Netflix didn't want to pay for direct access to Comcast's network, which in effect would have forced all Comcast users, even those who didn't subscribe to Netflix, to pay for the online video service, Khoury said.Statement follows in full....
