​Baros wishes to continue motion to dismiss US SEC FCPA complaint against him in face of DOJ request for stay in Och-Ziff case

( February 26, 2018, 21:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vanja Baros, a former executive of Och-Ziff Capital Management who faces civil claims by the US Securities and Exchange Commission that he violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, said that a stay in the case requested by the Justice Department would prevent him from arguing for a dismissal of the SEC complaint against him. Baros, however, said he did not object to DOJ's request for a stay in discovery in the SEC case. The DOJ has asked a US district judge to stay the SEC proceeding as the DOJ prosecutes another former Och-Ziff executive, Michael L. Cohen, for criminal securities fraud arising from the same bribery scheme. Baros is not a co-defendant in that criminal proceeding.Please see attached document....
