Charité-Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin deal gets German merger approval

( June 7, 2021, 09:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The German competition authority has said that Charité and Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin can merge their cardiosurgical and cardiological services. The approval follows a lengthy preliminary examination, because the two companies are already very closely connected in the market for cardiac medicine. The authority said that the merger's effects on competition would be very small and that post-merger, patients would have sufficient choice among alternative hospital operators.Press release follows....
