Australian supermarkets to face higher penalties under new mandatory industry code

In a joint statement today, Treasurer Jim Chalmers, Assistant Treasurer Andrew Leigh and Agriculture Minister Murray Watt said the government would adopt all11 recommendations from a recently commissioned review of the country’s Food and Grocery Code of Conduct.
