Restaurants object to settlements in US broiler chicken price-fixing litigation

( June 21, 2024, 18:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Restaurants pursuing US price-fixing claims against the nation’s top broiler chicken producers opposed proposed settlements with Koch Foods and House of Raeford Farms, challenging an Illinois federal judge's determination that previously foregone bid-rigging claims were potentially still available to a class of direct purchaser plaintiffs. "There is no way that the Class could assert a bid-rigging claim after this Court ordered that all Track One plaintiffs could not pursue discovery, engage in dispositive motion practice, or try a bid-rigging claim," the restaurants said in an objection filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.See document below....
