German rollout of hydrogen core network can go ahead, EU state aid regulator says

( June 21, 2024, 09:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Germany has secured European Commission approval for its state guarantee to back investment in the development of a transmission infrastructure to promote the use of renewable hydrogen in transport and industry by 2030. The guarantee is worth 3 billion euros ($3.3 billion). The Hydrogen Core Network will be the backbone of long-distance transport links for hydrogen at domestic level, and will form part of a wider backbone connecting several EU member states.
