EU's Digital Markets Act puts bloc at 'forefront of the field,' lawmaker Yon-Courtin says

"I hope that the urgency of the situation will allow a rapid agreement between MEPs and Member States," she said. The French lawmaker — a member of the center-right Renew Group and co-chair of the parliament’s economic affairs committee — said the "ex-ante regulation will impose obligations and prohibitions on the systemic platforms identified as gatekeepers when they constitute a necessary passage for any online activity."Statement follows....
