Judge issues orders on expert testimony in upcoming patent trial against Apple

( April 16, 2014, 21:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Lucy Koh has granted Apple's motion to exclude the testimony of plaintiff GPNE's expert witness Michael Dansky in a patent trial scheduled to begin in July in San Jose, Calif. Koh excluded Dansky's testimony in part because she said he provided no methodology for his conclusion that Apple should pay GPNE $1 per unit based on Dansky's calculation that Apple derives $86 per unit in profit from cellular connectivity. Koh denied, however a motion by Apple to exclude the testimony of another GPNE expert witness, Esmael Dinan; the judge also denied GPNE's motion to exclude Apple expert Paul Meyer.  Please see attached document...
