Indian ratings agency expects dumping duties on steel products to be retained under MIP regime

( October 6, 2016, 06:22 GMT | Insight) -- The India Ratings and Research agency is anticipating that dumping duties will soon be imposed on most of the 66 steel products granted an extension under the minimum import price regime on Oct. 4, the Financial Express reports. The India Ratings and Research agency, or Ind-Ra, anticipates that dumping duties will soon be imposed on most of the 66 steel products granted an extension under the minimum import price regime on Oct. 4, the Financial Express reports. Many of the items are being investigated for dumping. Unlike the MIP regime, these duties would apply only to the originating countries named, which in this case would comprise China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Indonesia and Brazil. Duties will not be fixed rates, but will equal the difference between the amount specified in the notification and the landed value of the goods.      ...
