EU banks to see new expectations on valuation capabilities developed by Single Resolution Board

( June 20, 2024, 08:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU banking sector will see the Single Resolution Board develop and update its expectations for banks on valuation capacities. Part of the Single Resolution Mechanism Vision 2028 strategy, the work will include expectations on valuation data and playbooks. It aims to improve banks’ capabilities to support the performance of “timely and robust valuations,” while ensuring that valuers are well equipped with necessary information when performing their tasks. A consultation on valuation capacities expectations will also be carried out in 2025 to update the current valuation framework.Statement follows....
