Telecom Italia's conditions on services may have hindered competition, widened probe suggests

( February 21, 2018, 23:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: L’Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato, ​Italy’s competition watchdog, has widened its investigation into whether telecommunications company Telecom Italia had illegally hindered the entry of a rival in the provision of infrastructure for ultra-wideband communications systems. The expansion of the probe, which the competition regulator launched last June, became necessary due to suggestions of “a further anti-competitive behavior” that emerged in the course of the preliminary investigation.
