LN-Gaiety's bid for MCD conditionally approved in Ireland

( July 5, 2019, 21:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plans by LN-Gaiety Holdings to acquire sole control of MCD Productions were cleared by Ireland's competition authority, subject to several conditions, the watchdog said on Friday. The authority had concerns about the overlapping activities of Live Nation and MCD in the supply of primary-ticketing services, the promotion of live events and the operation of live event venues. To allay the antitrust concerns, the parties offered to inform the watchdog in advance of any proposal to acquire control of a live music festival or a festival operator, among other concessions.Statement follows....
