( April 13, 2011, 13:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has fined Procter & Gamble and Unilever a total of 315.2 million euros for running a cartel for washing powder in eight EU member states. Both companies received a 10 percent fine reduction under the commission’s settlement notice. Whistleblower Henkel received immunity for revealing the cartel.This case involved a number of manufacturers and dates back 6-9 years. We have been reporting on it every quarter for the last three years and had already taken the appropriate financial reserve.
