Viagogo faces UK contempt-of-court action as CMA moves forward with case

( July 4, 2019, 11:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ticketing website Viagogo is facing a contempt-of-court suit after allegedly failing to comply with a UK court order to overhaul the way it presents information on its website. The UK Competition and Markets Authority said it's moving forward with legal proceedings against the company after finding it's “still using misleading ticket availability messages” on its website and not properly displaying seat numbers as required. Viagogo and the CMA are in court on a separate issue, pertaining to Viagogo’s use of “hover over text” on its website. Viagogo is seeking relief from complying with the requirement, and a judgment is expected in due course.Statement follows....
