Soybean group 'disappointed' over US lowering antisubsidy duties on biodiesel imports from Argentina

( July 3, 2019, 21:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The American Soybean Association issued a statement expressing its  dissatisfaction with the US Department of Commerce's initial decision to lower antisubsidy duties on biodiesel imports from Argentina from 72 percent to 10 percent after a changed circumstances review that considered changes to the Argentine government's export tax regime. "An abrupt reversal on the countervailing duties on subsidized imports would add to the challenges the biodiesel industry is facing, including great uncertainty due to the lapsed tax credit and Small Refiner Exemptions issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that undermine the Renewable Fuel Standard," the statement said.See statement below:...
