The Star pleads guilty to gaming-law offenses, amid broader Australian money-laundering probe

In a statement today, Queensland Attorney General Shannon Fentiman said the gaming company, which runs Brisbane’s Treasury Casino and The Star Gold Coast, accepted the charges under the 1982 Casino Control Act. The charges relate to Section 66 of the law, which prohibits the purchase of gambling chips with a credit card.
