Large South Korean businesses to be required to disclose data protection policies and measures

The revised rule makes it mandatory for large businesses to reveal the size of the investment a company makes in data protection, the number of employees with expertise in data protection and safeguards in place to protect users’ personal information.Large businesses in South Korea will be required to publicly disclose data protection policies and procedures, under the revised Information and Communications Technology Industry Promotion Act that was passed by the National Assembly on May 21 and received approval at the state cabinet meeting today....
