US DOJ seeks order requiring testimony from six individuals in aerospace industry no-poach antitrust trial

( March 20, 2023, 21:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice asked a federal court to order Kevin Gesner, Matthew Lavoie, James Macauley, Benjamin Mercado, David Sutera and Matthew Westergard to testify at a criminal antitrust trial in which the agency is prosecuting multiple individuals for alleged wage-fixing and entering into no-poach agreements for aerospace defense engineers. "It is likely that [the six individuals] will each assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to testify or provide other information," the DOJ said in an application to the US District of Connecticut. The agency also asked the court to order that no testimony compelled under the order be used against the individuals.See attached document....
