Serco 'mortified' over DPA agreed with UK fraud office

( July 3, 2019, 08:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Serco Group has said the company is "mortified and embarrassed," after it agreed a 19.2 million-pound deferred prosecution agreement with the UK's Serious Fraud Office. Its subsidiary Serco Geografix admitted offenses of fraud and false accounting related to its prisoner-monitoring contract with the UK's Ministry of Justice. The company will also have to revamp its compliance program and pay the SFO's investigation costs of 3.7 million pounds. A judge will formally approve the agreement tomorrow at a London court.Statement follows....
