Radiotaxi 3570 loses appeal of antitrust fine at Rome court

( March 20, 2023, 12:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italian company Radiotaxi 3570 has failed in its attempt to contest a decision by the national antitrust authority, which fined the company 21,000 euros for its failure to correct competition restrictions. In 2018, the AGCM ordered Radiotaxi 3570 and other main taxi operators in Rome and Milan to stop restricting market access to new operators through exclusivity clauses, and refrained from imposing a fine at the time. In a ruling made in January but only published today, judges at the Rome administrative court concluded that Radiotaxi 3570’s non-compliance with the 2018 decision is unjustified and that the fine should stand. The ruling is attached (in Italian). Case reference is 3439/2022....
